Beyond the pressure and relentless rhythm of the Giro d’Italia, there remains another side of cycling: riding together, sharing stories on the road and stopping for a gelato along the way. Yesterday, on the roads outside Milano, the riders of the Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team stepped away from the intensity of racing for a relaxed rest day ride together. No race radios. No pressure. Just easy kilometres, conversations between teammates and a gelato stop. For the occasion, the team wore the Gregarius Team Gelato Jersey — a symbol of the more playful and social spirit that has always existed within cycling culture, without ever compromising the technical performance of the kit itself.

As Q36.5 Founder Luigi Bergamo explains: “Since the very first days of Q36.5 I have insisted on putting a “Team Gelato” jersey in our collections as a way to “compensate” for the extreme seriousness of our technical approach and to celebrate another spirit of riding which I have always thought to be perfectly compatible with wearing highly technical on bike clothing: the spirit of riding in friendship, to have a relaxed chat with your buddies while in motion, to stop for a nice gelato whenever you feel like it, to let go and have some fun! My desire to give this jersey to the team for their first rest day at the Giro d’Italia is exactly the same: encourage these elite riders to relax, enjoy the day off as much as possible in the company of each other, but without compromising in any way the technical qualities of their kit!”

A reminder that even at the highest level of the sport, the best moments on the bike are often the simplest ones. SHOP THE BUNDLE
